You have to get your daily news. That’s what you do.
You need to get the basic info for the day. It may impact the work you do. It may impact your job. Or maybe it just impacts how you operate as a citizen.
But just because you have to get your news, it doesn’t mean you have to be a punching bag EVERY TIME local or state or federal politics is mentioned.
You’re an awful person?
Because, according to the local papers, if you’re a Republican or (gasp!) a conservative, you are a bad, usually racist, person. And you hate people who are not like you.
That pretty much sums it up, right?
Well, the papers aren’t about to change their m.o. any time soon. They are what they are. They are the scorpion who will stab you after you help them across the stream.
So where can you go to VENT?
Where can you go to read a little healthy CRITICISM of that press?
Where can you go to get some news (maybe a little inside news) on the people and issues that you care about, that the mainstream media only sneers at?
Right here!
So what’s the deal?
That’s what CouldBeBig.com is all about. Your port in the storm. Your oasis in the desert. Your rest stop on the highway of “let’s incessantly hammer the Republicans!”
We will do our best to make this a daily, five-posts-a-week site. You will be updated via Facebook and Twitter. Sign up as a Subscriber, and we’ll shoot you an e-mail.
And we’ll be on Twitter, at @CouldBeBig, Tweeting and responding about the news of the day. Please Follow and join in!
You’ve got some news?
And we invite you to contact Could Be Big, at couldbebig [at] gmail.com, with your news and politics tips and info. And here’s the kicker: your info will ALWAYS be confidential. And the info will not be published unless you specifically say it can be published. And your name will not be published unless you specifically say it can be published.
Now, keep in mind that just ’cause you send it in, doesn’t mean that we will be putting said info into a post. But you should always feel safe that if you don’t want something published, it won’t be. That’s the currency here. And it won’t be broken.
You’ve got something to say, right now?
And then there is the comment section. You don’t have to sign-up or sign-in to comment, but there are the basic rules for commenting, listed above. And we will try to take part as well.
Who are we?
Could Be Big is the product of a desire to see something in Kansas that doesn’t currently exist: A written alternative to the one-sided news of the day.
More info on just exactly WHO is doing the writing here will be…forthcoming.

Welcome back, Danedri!
Ha.
Nope, not Danedri. I think she’s busy juggling multiple gigs at the moment.
Won’t be “anonymous” for long though.
Stay tuned!
